The National Grand Family Heritage Foundation (NGFHF) is currently in its organizational stage.

The mission of NGFHF is to preserve Louisiana’s French-Creole history and heritage and provide instruction to the general public on genealogical research techniques for French-Creole ancestry.  Such instruction will be facilitated by regular lectures to the general public, sponsoring public displays and heritage tours, and “how-to” instructions on the NGFHF website.  NGFHF will help preserve Louisiana’s French-Creole history and heritage through various historical genealogical research projects to be provided to the general public.

On June 6, 2011, NGFHF received notification of its tax exempt staus.  Now, NGFHF stands ready to solicit charitable contributions and operate exclusively for tax-exempt purposes by engaging in activities that accomplish one or more of the exempt purposes under IRS rules.

The proposed activities of NGFHF are charitable, literary, and educational within IRS rules.  As such NGFHF will:

  1. provides instruction to the general public on genealogical research techniques for French-Creole ancestry,

  2. preserves Louisiana’s French-Creole history and heritage through various historical genealogical research projects to be provided to the general public,

  3. sponsors public displays and heritage tours to benefit the general public, and

  4. promote various other related activities for the general public.  NGFHF does not and will not limit its activities to one particular family history or the descendants of a particular family.

NGFHF will also accomplish its mission by maintaining a website with research techniques for French-Creole genealogical research, sponsoring exhibits at French-Creole events and gatherings, and through various historical genealogical research projects.
